How to Sign Up for RedNote

1. Find the official app

On iPhone, open the official rednote App Store listing. It identifies the seller as Xingin Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Check the developer as well as the app name before installing; store availability can differ by country.

On Android, start from Xiaohongshu’s official website and use the download option it provides for your device. Avoid treating an unrelated site’s download button as an official source.

Keep access to the phone number you plan to use. You may need it again to sign in or recover the account. Read the app’s current age requirements and account terms when they are presented.

2. Work through phone sign-in

If the app presents a phone-number sign-in option, use this sequence. If it offers another method instead, follow that method’s on-screen instructions.

1. Check the country or region selector. Choose the code belonging to your phone number if it is available. Do not leave a default +86 selected for a number from another country.
2. Enter your phone number. Use the format requested by the field. When the country code has its own selector, avoid adding that code a second time to the number field.
3. Read the agreements shown beside the sign-in control. Select an agreement checkbox only after reviewing the linked terms and privacy information.
4. Request the verification code. Look for 获取验证码 or 发送验证码. Keep the app open while you check your messages.
5. Enter the latest code into the app. Complete any additional checks displayed by RedNote. If the number is already associated with an account, confirm that the account you enter is yours.

Never post a verification code in a comment or send it to someone offering to “activate” your account. RedNoteHub does not need your number, password, or code.

3. If verification does not work

No text message arrived

Recheck the country code and number first. Check that the correct SIM is active and can receive texts, including service messages if you are roaming. Look in filtered or blocked messages. If there is a resend timer, let it finish before requesting another code; repeated requests are not a reliable fix.

The code is rejected

Use the newest message and check for a typing mistake or an expiry notice. If you requested several codes, an older message may no longer be usable. Follow any waiting period shown by the app.

Your country code is missing, or registration is unavailable

Do not select another country just to move past the selector. Check the available official sign-in methods and help options on your screen. An app being available to download does not establish that a particular phone number will be accepted.

You reached an account restriction or identity check

Read the full message and use the app’s own help or appeal route. Phone verification and account restrictions are different problems; buying another code or repeatedly reinstalling the app does not explain or resolve the restriction.

4. Set up your profile and start exploring

Choose a display name and photo you are comfortable making public. Review permissions before enabling optional access such as contacts or location. If an interests screen appears, pick topics you actually want to read about.
